Table of contents Description Step-by-step guide Entering Recovery mode using physical buttons located on the device Entering Recovery mode from your computer Troubleshooting Description Recovery Mode is a panel designed for retrieving the HC2 operating system in case of technical problems, when it is not possible to log into the user’s panel. Using recovery mode the Home Center 2 will be brought back to the factory installed firmware version. That means all of your settings, configured devices, rooms and so on will be removed and lost if not backed up. Once back up and running, you will be able to upgrade the firmware to the latest version. Make sure you have a backup available to suit either the recovery firmware version or the latest firmware version if you don’t want to lose all of your data! Step-by-step guide Entering Recovery mode using physical buttons located on the device Turn the Home Center 2 OFF by pressing and holding the Power button for few seconds or by disconnecting the power supply. When turned OFF, turn it ON again with recovery button pressed. Keep holding the button. Release the button when the LED diodes start flashing from left to right. Don’t hold the Recovery button for too long! If you hold the Recovery button for 10 seconds the Home Center will change its IP between dynamic and static (see How to change the Home Center IP address to static or dynamic (DHPC)?). Entering Recovery Mode is signalled with a control diode. Type in the IP address of your Home Center 2 in the web browser or use FIBARO Finder. Recovery Mode screen will be displayed: The System info panel displays the following information: Serial number – HC2 serial number Local software – software version of your system IP Address – IP address, visible in local network Online – The HC2 Internet access Click the Recover button in order to restore the Home Center 2 to factory firmware version. Recovery panel will ask you to confirm your choice. Wait for a few minutes. After a successful reboot, you can access the Login Panel. It is not even possible for Fibaro to get the Home Center app up and running, let alone integrate the functions that the HomeCenter 3 offers, almost 1 1/2 years ago. It is not surprising that the promised iPad app is still going to last.

No extra effort is required since Fibaro ID and local login must be provided to connect to the box. Yubii is more complicated.

Please login or register to see this spoiler. You can shut down HC3 by using wall plug. I mean connect HC3 power to Zwave/ZigBee switch (wall plug or binary switch) and send command to turn the switch off. In order to start HC3 you'll need manually to turn ON the switch. Any new device released after April 2 2017 MUST support S2. There are exceptions. Code space in the 500 series Z-Wave chip is limited when S2 is added so some complex devices may not have S2 support. AFAIK not right now, because if it did, you would get the possibility to enter the codes that are printed on the device.

I'm out of options now.I suggest that the new Homecenter3 will get a function where backups from Homecenter2 can be downloaded and installed from the Fibaro Cloud and converted automatically to the new homecenter. 1) It is what user expects from a serious company. 2) Scenes, VDs and block scenes can be reused without further programming. It used a global variable in which the main scene determined the variable telegram and, after that, the generic scene that sent the message to the telegram was called. However, with HC3, this scene stopped working. I made some changes to the LUA code, but I can't get the message on the telegram. x5fL0N.
